Hey folks. Looking for some summertime fun? We recommend the "Balconies" cave adventure at Pinnacles. - Myx.tv is now playing "Alibi"
A few months ago we did an interview with the folks at myx.tv about our experience of making the "Alibi" video and how the medium of film relates to music. They are now playing the video with our goofy intro / outtro...
The full interview should be online soon.
- Finished mixing the new EP

Last night we got together with Nate and put the finishing touches on our new EP.
The title of the EP is still pending, but the track list is:
1. Rest My Bones
2. You're Upside Down, You're Funny
3. Ba Na Na Na Na
4. Mouthful Of Marbles
5. We Are FreeWe'll get a preview track up as soon as the mastering is complete and will have cds shortly there after.
This recording is a bit different than our last record, The Pen And The Letter. This EP is more raw, spontaneous and more representative of our live show. That being said, it is filled with beautiful harmonies and layers of guitar in all the right spots. ;)
- A trip to South Park

Thanks Val for the excellent rendition of us and for putting Nori center stage where she belongs!
- EP Recording
Vocal recording is sounding great. We've finished drums, bass, and guitars...so getting close!
Tentative track listing:
1) Rest My Bones
2) You're Upside Down, You're Funny
3) Ba Na Na Na Na
4) Mouthful Of Marbles
5) We Are Free
Nate & Dave have been writing harmonies, eating potato chips, and hanging with studio dog Henry...more updates soon!

- Last Show As HIJACK THE DISCO!
Let's have a gay old time! That's right, let's get together, make merry, and look back on 6 years as HIJACK THE DISCO. Please join us this Thursday (12/14) at The Eagle Tavern with our friends The Ex-Boyfriends for our final show of 2006... and last show ever as HIJACK THE DISCO! For those of you who don't know, due to the growing popularity of Panic! At the Disco and confusion about the similarities between the two names, the time has come to begin the next chapter. After much discussion, HIJK (spelled out when spoken) seemed the obvious choice. Not only does it visually recall our past as "Hijack", but it's simple: the alphabet is a foundation for language, language is the foundation for lyrics, and everyone knows how to sing "aych-eye-jay-kay." Bonus: For this show only, all HIJACK THE DISCO merch will be HALF OFF! So, stock up on holiday gifts for your cousins & ex-boyfriends... beat the rush... and capture a moment in history! Hope to see you this Thursday! December 14, 2006 THURSDAY NITE LIVE!! - live and in person at Cafe du Nord
Hi Friends! Regardless of what the Kansas school board says, things are constantly evolving... We moved into a new practice space with Minipop AND due to the overwhelming success of Panic! At The Disco, and the uncanny similarity between their name and ours, we have decided to change our name! In fact, after hearing our record, Panic!'s manger said that we had to change our name. It's gonna happen soon, so bring your suggestions to our show at Cafe Du Nord THIS Tuesday!
